Dishman is saved!

Board members attended the Hutchinson Water District Meeting on September 14th and have started the process of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for maintaining access to the Main Wall at Dishman Hills. This MOU will include some of the existing rules for access at this crag, such as:

  • All maintenance of hardware will continue to be assumed by the Bower Climbing Coalition, including a request to either paint or move some of the anchors at the top

  • Parking in front of the yellow gate is still not allowed

  • Regular crag cleanups will continue to be hosted by the Bower Climbing Coalition

Additionally, signage will be installed by the Bower Climbing Coalition detailing the dangers of the water tower and potential discharge into the climbing area if those sensors failed.
